Sleep had been dreamless; darkness had consumed his entire being.
Eye lids fluttered, a groan surpassed thick black lips and his brows pulled tightly together as pain swiftly engulfed his body, like if it had been forgotten in sleep and his mind took a moment to re-register it. A soft sound followed akin to a whine and he shuffled lightly, stretching out each of his four limbs as the male lay upon his side. Benjamin pulled his chin tightly toward his chest, stretching the back muscles. The protest from each individual muscle upon his body was fierce, but welcome. An enjoyable pain to say the least.
Allowing his body to become limp once more, those emerald eyes opened. A blurred vision was most unwelcome and excited a panic withing his breast. The brute leaped to his feet, suddenly forgetting the pain he had felt only seconds ago and he frantically searched the area. Adrenaline coursed through his veins, and aided the return of his eye sight. Disorientation hit him forcefully and Benjamin felt his heart quicken tremendously. The last thing he could recall was Kara, it was feint, like seeing through beer goggles, but the pain that he had been inundated with had been unmistakable as she had fallen to the ground of the institution. Then there was rage.
Through the panic, Blazes gaze swept the small area swiftly, to analyze where exactly he was now to perhaps recall more information. The cave was astonishingly beautiful, bountiful with moss that covered the rocks above, beside and beneath them. Upon looking at the ground, his heart relaxed with a warmth unmatched as he saw Kara resting at his paws. An audible sigh passed through his lips and he sat beside her before curling around her nude form, resting his chin upon her neck.
There was an ever fire burning beside them, one he had obviously lit, though he couldn't remember. Absently, he stare at it, and into it's depth desperately trying to recall what had happened.
He noticed then, as his gaze wandered inattentively, that light dappled the walls; sparkling as if bouncing from a million moving diamonds. Raising his massive head to look behind their forms and away from the entrance of the cave, he spied a waterfall that descended through the rock, as if through a hole that had formed within the earth. For a moment he simply watched, relishing the moment, grateful for it. He had not had something of it's likeness in... well, as long as he could remember.
The light that bounced off the ever flowing water illuminated the cave as if there had been lighting installed. This was the only indication that it was daylight outside for he could not see down, what he assumed was, the entrance of the cave toward an opening.
Blaze had not noticed the frown that had begun to form once more as thoughts wandered once more, question filling his mind. How had the reached this place?
-but then, Benjamin raised his head in a sudden movement, "Where are the others?"
Were they safe, too? A large lump formed within his throat and he swallowed it back. A tongue swept over those black lips as he was faced with a dilemma. He could not leave Kara, but he needed to find the others; he needed to know they were safe. Was it safe to call? Warm emerald orbs swept over his mate, he could not wake her. She had been through a great deal and the rest called upon her like a wolf in the darkness. A gingerly whine escaped his throat, though it was barely audible.

Her soul was escorted back to her disheveled body as it lay on the lab floor among the debris and the corpses of humans in uniforms and lab coats. As a soul, she didn't speak but merely phased back within her physical form with only one last look back at the portal from which they had come. Blaze was there with her, but Nott was not, she was gone and didn't come back through the portal with them and silently Kara panicked. Once aligned with her body and she linked with her mind, a faint heartbeat was heard as it started slowly and picked up gradually. Blood began to move through her body once again as it scrambled for the oxygen it craved, sending warmth and feeling back into her limbs. It took a moment but her eyes fluttered open to look around the room, wide with shock as everything came rushing back to her with a gasp escaping her lips. She coughed roughly as blood came from her mouth, breath raspy with the remainder left in her airways.

At first, her body jerked and she tried to sit up but the pain caused from moving was enough to bring her back down to the floor in a less then graceful flop, the bad of her head hitting the cement yet again to remind her of the splitting headache. She lay there for a second as the room seemed to spin around her and sweat trickled from her brow, had there been anything on her stomach she would have most likely thrown that up. There was a sickening movement within her ribs when she moved and her mind hazily remembered the events leading up to the present time. The guards and scientist had enough of her behavior, her unwillingness to cooperate and manipulation. She tested them at every turn and in return they tried to torture and drug her into submission. It was a game that they played until she lost her temper and one of the scientists got too close, effectively ending his life and pissing off the others in the room. The last she remembered was Nott's voice, her power surging forward and what felt like a warm embrace before falling into blackness.

"Gotta go.." She mumbled, still able to feel Blaze's presence in the room with her. The fog was slipping in her mind once again in defense to the pain, making her voice and words come out barely audible and jumbled. "Please Blaze..." She pleaded, hand clenching as she tried to clear the haziness with little success. She feared they would be recaptured, that they would get him too and she couldn't bear the thought of that. Her mind screamed but it was as if her body refused to cooperate, a wave of exhaustion threatening to take over. Try as she might, it didn't take long before she fell back into the darkness, though this time she was alone...

She couldn't recall the last time that her body had suffered this much trauma and it showed as her bruises slowly turned darker on her pale skin and broken bones caused swelling. She looked as if she was spotted in purple, blue and black with various cuts and abrasions marring what was once smooth skin. Sleep was something that was demanded from her tired muscles and frantic mind as it tried to heal her broken form as quickly as possible. She stayed within the depths of its darkness for going on two days before the haze lifted and her consciousness slowly came to the forefront of her mind. There was an overwhelming sense of peace and quiet that struck Kara as odd long before she showed signs that she was waking up. There were birds chirping off somewhere in the distance and with each breath she found the air more clean and refreshing, lacking the industrial smell that the city stunk with. There was also a crackling of fire somewhere close, and soon she could feel its warmth spreading to her body. She appreciated it more then it would know, as he body felt a deep rooted cold that she didn't understand. Her body lay on soft earth, what exactly she wasn't sure, but the rich earthy smells and the natural feel beneath her was unmistakable as she relished in it.

Along with her typical senses, she could feel something else, something more. It was as if her body was spread out and she could feel and sense things beyond her physical reach. It felt similar to the way she communicated with the tendrils of darkness but on a much larger scale. It was overwhelming and disorienting but it brought a crucial thought to her mind. "Nott?" The question held both fear and urgency as she called the Deity's name. Nothing, there was no answer, no presence to stir in the back of her mind. "Nott please..." next came a soft plead. Tears brimmed on her closed eyes and she shut them tighter, letting them fall freely down her cheek. "Dont leave me, Nott you cant just leave me!!" The absence of the presence in her mind screamed at her awareness as a memory trickled back, as if trying to let her in on the secret. She remembered Nott and Blaze finding her, taking her from...somewhere. She remembered thinking it odd that Nott was there with them, as her own being, but her memory came in jumpy like a dream. "You have to go now Kara, you cannot waste time."She recalled the urgency as Nott seemed to usher both her and Blaze away but not before kissing Kara firmly on the lips. The kiss didn't have an ounce of romance and the only way Kara could recall feeling about it was the headache that accompanied by the burning in her forehead. It reminded her of the night she came to possess the Deity."You can control it, and you have to learn it fast. Do me proud my little wolf." The words now echoed in her mind as the memory faded as Nott faded from her sight while they moved back through a portal.

That's why the numbing feeling of lonesomeness was present and why Nott wouldn't answer her, all those years she had gotten annoyed and wished for peace within her own mind and now that she had it, it seemed like a curse. Through everything, her highs and lows, she always had a constant companion in Nott. Someone was always there to talk to reguatdless of how sarcastic the responses may have been. Nott had taught Kara most of what she knew today and truth be told, she probably would have died a long time ago without her guidance. Kara whimpered softly, becoming fully awake and taking in the warmth that seemed to envelope her body. Deep even breaths ruffled the hair in her bangs as Blaze's scent became the only thing she was aware of. His usual warmth was more then welcomed as it calmed her nerves slightly. As crimson eyes opened into slits as she took in her surroundings, her heart picking up slowly as the unfamiliarity hit her and she turned her head slightly to look at the wolf wrapped around her. Reaching a arm up, despite the aching protest of her muscles, she ran her fingers through the thick pelt, stroking softly though she remained silent as she worried that if words spilled from her mouth then tears would spill from her eyes as well.

The movement under his form stirred Benjamin into consciousness of the moment and he worried then that perhaps his anxiety had woken Kara from her slumber. He shuffled his paws to move the bulk of his weight so as he may sit back and look upon her, assessing her.
The look in those scarlet hues crumbled a piece of his heart, knowing the emotions there far better than he might ever admit. A desire to make her feel more at ease showered upon him and he craned his neck backwards to sniff playfully at her face; though it was enough that should she not wish to react, there was no need for it. The wet warmth of his leathery black nose touched at her cheek and, sniffing with a purposeful noise, he dragged his nose along her cheek and towards her ear before burying his face deep into the red locks that draped over her shoulders. Benjamin leaned into her, closing his emerald hues and hugging her to his warmth with his chin.
The two said nothing, and with closed eyes, memories cam flooding back in flushes and sudden bursts. It had all been so sudden, and even as he watched the flashes within is mind, examining then carefully, he still could not understand what had happened.
He recalled a dark rage that had engulfed his entire body cavity, overshadowed by a pain he had never felt before as Kara fell limp to the floor. What had ensued afterward was a blur of movement, screams and agony in his breast.
Voices had been heard, familiar and yet, distant. The mention of Knotts name was present, though he could not recall a picture of the entity. She had inhabited his love for as long as he could remember; and though the two had only met briefly a couple of times when Kara had become too weak to suppress the deity, he could feel her absence now. He hadn't known the discomfort that had presented itself within his expression - brows knitted fiercely together with tightly clenched eyes, looking as though the male was holding back tears. Though, it was confusion more so than anything else. Perhaps it was Karas empathetic abilities that presented him with the emptiness that he felt now, or perhaps it was the bond they share - Maybe both simultaneously; but his heart ached for that which was not there.
As if a piece of her was missing. A slice of her life had just disintegrated in a single moment. For the first time in a very long time, Benjamin was at a loss of words. What could he say that might make the situation feel less... stigmatic. He opened his eyes, chartreuse and emerald swimming in a visible movement within the pupil at such a dire and strong emotion that was not his own, but at the very moment, was his own.
The brute swallowed another lump that threatened his throat and an exasperated exhale followed. He felt a burning desire within to pursue his confusions, to fill the gaps in his memory; it was accompanied by the annoyance at himself for allowing the blanks to settle in his rage that had ensued within the institution.
It left more questions than he had begun with, and he could only hope that the events would unfold themselves.
With a forceful push inside his mind, he brought his consciousness to the fore front of his mind and focused on the positives of the moment. They were here and safe, though he would only assume that they would not leave without the rest of their family - they were presumably safe also. He knew then hat his focus now, was Kara.
A golden ring encircled the pupil of his eye, before his body burst into a brilliant bright flame. A mere second passed, and a sickening series of crunches resonated through the cave, hidden by the brightness of a flame before it disappeared and the nude form of a man had stolen the place of the wolf; his arms had encased Kara, holding her tightly to his body, though he sat back, only enough to look upon her face. Their bodies still close enough to touch, and share his warmth. Weathered hands lifted to encase the soft skin upon her cheeks, holding her gingerly. The man took a long moment as emerald eyes grazed with such a tenderness, over her features and the contours of her facial structure. Leaning, softly he placed his lips upon her forehead, kissing her softly there.

Her fingers threaded through his thick pelt, though she realized a second too late that her sudden motion woke Blaze, causing him to move back as her hand fell back to her side as he moved out of her reach. Eyes looked into the emerald hues that she found so much comfort in over the years and right now they were the only things keeping her from letting herself fall apart completely. She searched them silently for answers to questions she couldn't even form, but the look in his eyes mirrored hers so well that she feared he had as many unanswered questions as she did. Her mouth was dry and her throat burned as if she had swallowed sharp rocks, still no words were spoken as she didn't know what to say or ask first, afraid of the answers she might receive. This wasn't her, Kara had fought her demons of the past and came out stronger but yet somehow fate had found another way to rip her heart and soul to pieces. It pained her for Blaze to see her in this state, she had worked to prove herself to him for it to backfire in her face and get her caught by the radical group of humans.

It was as if Blaze sensed her own feelings, leaning in and making her giggle for just a second when she knew she shouldn't be laughing. Kara could not help the smile that played at the corner of her lips as a cold nose was pressed to her face, breath featherly tickled the skin across her cheek and ear while she brought her hands up to rest on either side of his face, fingers playing softly within the soft fur there. Her body was held into place as he embraced her, the hold her hands had on Blaze's face moving to wrap around his broad neck while arms squeezed lightly. She nuzzled her face into the fur in his neck, closing her eyes tightly as tears once again silently slipped down her cheeks and soaked into Blaze's pelt. It was quiet minus the sound of water rushing somewhere near and the steady beat of his heart. Kara sat there for what seemed like an eternity before the tears stopped and she regained the small amount of composure she still had.

Blaze's own emotions rolled freely from him to her, causing Kara to follow his sense of confusion, annoyance and what felt like anger for brief moments. He remained silent so Kara had little in ways of knowing what caused these feelings but at the moment she seemed to be having trouble turning off the switch, it was as if she was too raw emotionally to handle her empathic powers. "Or maybe Nott was holding it back all these years.." Kara thought, feeling ashamed that after all these years her careful control that Kara thought she had gained may have just been Nott helping. She searched his eyes before noticing the golden ring mix with the bright emerald, his body turning into living fire as she lay next to him. Normally, Kara wouldn't have flinched or thought otherwise but she was on edge, leaning back with wide eyes for a brief second before the flamed receded and left the man instead of the wolf.

Crimson eyes looked around the hard features of his face and a smile formed on her lips, she had thought that she wouldn't see his face again more then once while she was captured and the fact that he was here and they were definitely away from that hell was enough to give her the slightest sense of ease. His arms were bare and hot skin burned into her own, seeming to seep into her bruised skin and muscles and ease some of the tension there. Slowly, Kara was beginning to relax enough for her mind to catch up on the present. Large hands moved to cup her cheeks and she leaned her face into them, eyes closing instinctively in the comfort of the touch. It was soon followed by the feeling of his lips against her forehead, a blush dusting lightly across her cheeks.

Kara wasn't sure where they were or how they had gotten here, all she knew was that they were away from the sterile smell of the lab and safe for the moment. Her mind was still running wild with questions but she needed to sort everything out and not panic. Opening her eyes, Kara leaned back to look at Blaze yet again. "She's not there anymore...the power is but, Nott's gone." The words came hoarse and quiet, the lump forming in her throat once again as tears threatened to spill from her ducts. "How did you find us? Me?" She corrected herself, shaking her head softly. Looking down, teeth bit into her bottom lip as she could only imagine how he had found her in the lab after she had been captured and part of herself worried he had endured injuries at her fault from it. "I just dont understand..." Kara finished, eyes cast on the ground beneath them as she couldn't look him in the eye at the moment, ashamed of herself.

Part of her wanted to forget and another wanted all the answers, and the only person who could help her tie the knots whom was still with her was Blaze but at the moment her want to be in the present with him was winning over the need for what happened. Nothing seemed real, it had been so long since she had found herself in this setting and she just wanted to relish in the peacefulness while it lasted, while they were still here and together. The past had been a roller coaster of ups and downs, back and forth, and enough drama to last a lifetime with it ending in the disheveled city overrun by the Oxen. After some time Kara had found the others and after that their small family struggled to stay alive and together. It was then that it seemed Blaze had forgiven Kara for their past and opened himself back up to her, allowing her into his life again and giving her hope for them. She had gotten small glimpses of what they could have but with everything going on they never got any time to explore their rekindled relationship and thus left her feeling unsure and anxious. Over the time they've found one another in the city, she never pushed him nor asked for his favor finding it easier to move around Blaze's terms then worry if she had pushed to far. Many times she wished to reach out and just touch him for comfort but more then often she would clench her fists and keep her hands to herself. Right now was different however, Kara craved something to grasp onto, something that she could hold onto that she knew was real and as her eyes moved up to look into Blaze's emerald orbs a soft whine hummed softly from her throat. It was easier to not think, to let her mind relax and focus on feeling, the immediate as what happened in the past was out of her control now and the future was never guaranteed. Both hands had come to rest lightly over his as they rested on either side of her face, though she slowly ran her hands down his forearms and up his biceps, fingertips trailing while feeling the warm skin pulled tightly over muscles and sinew. The trail moved up over Blaze's shoulders and came to stop on either side of his neck, fingers spreading so some rested within the silkiness of his hair and the others on the soft stubble under his jaw. Movements were slow and painful though she kept the latter to herself as her gaze remained unchanging and locked with that of her only lover, moving to sit up in order to level herself with Blaze and bringing her face close to his own. On either side, thumps stroked skin absently as she stalled for the briefest of seconds before making up her mind. "Please, just allow me this?" She asked, almost pleading, though her body leaned in before waiting for an answer as she moved to press her lips to his with an energy and urgency she didn't know she still possessed at this point.

Blaze had taken a long moment to feel the cool, supple skin beneath his lips as they rest upon Karas forehead. His eyes had remained closed during his time, but within his minds eye he could see only her. Forcing all else to slip away briefly to allow himself the meditation all comfort of that which mattered most.
The cold touch of tears graced his fingertips as his rough hands lay upon her cheeks but he trailed unmoved, knowing well that she would not wish him to make a deal of them. Though as she spoke of the absence they were both acutely aware of, he leaned back enough to meet her gaze briefly. He fought the urge to chew his bottom lip, instead allowing his gaze to sweep her features with a tenderness only for her. "I know." the whisper slipped from his lips, audible only for the two of them.
Where he felt pain in his heart, it was not carried into the words he spoke. There was a strength in those two words that told her that everything would be okay; and though Blaze didn't know how, he knew it to be true.
When the questions rolled from her tongue, he hadn't had time to answer one before the next was relayed. Instead of words, he smiled a response and kissed the tears that lay drying on Karas cheeks knowing that all would be revealed soon enough; and as if his thoughts had been we'd aloud, those crimson orbs met upon his own with a fierceness that made his pulse rise.
His gaze bore into hers upon feeling the cooling sensation of soft hands trailing upon his arms, finally to come and rest at the base of his neck before she welcomely demanded his affections. He would have spoke had he had the time, but he moment Kara pressed her lips to his, words seemed a distant past.
Benjamins lips pressed gingerly to Karas with a softness at first, lasting but a few seconds, long enough for him to feel her beneath them. He wasn't sure what happened in those moments, but something deep within him reached outward, and he felt it burry itself intensely within Kara. Blaze could feel the emotions that poured from her, the angst, the confusion, the pain that nestled deep within her body; and for a split second, those that came from him burned there too, twice fold as they mirrored from Blaze, through her and back into him.
It was the single most momentous time he had felt so connected to his love, connected through invisible fibrous tendrils that seemed to sift from both of them.
Absent of thought and caught in a mixture of desire, love, lust and FOMO derived from the thought that this moment would not last as long as he selfishly wanted, a hand slipped absent of thought, gingerly from Karas cheek, to wrap tenderly around the base of her neck line. Long diners slipped deep into the crimson locks that lay idly upon the skin there and ever so slightly Blaze tilted his head to deepen the kiss.

Blaze allowed her the freedom and boldness of her movements, he hadn't pushed her away or rejected her welcoming her within his steady embrace as the world faded out around them. She could no longer hear the distant sound of water, the crackling of the fire or the wildlife outside their confines going about their daily lives, no, all Kara's ears registered was the steady in and out breathing and drum like beating of Blaze's heart within the confines of his chest. The scent of the earth that they both rested on was replaced with the scent of burning wood and umber, the scent becoming more dizzying with each breath she took as it engulfed her and mixed with her own scent. This was heaven, surely she must have died back in the lab because the world couldn't be this perfect anymore, or at least that's what the doubt hiding in the back of her mind screamed. Heaven or not, she did not want to leave or for the moment to end.

For a moment, Kara's movements were slow and deliberate as her kiss began chaste but held a hunger beneath it that pushed out rapidly. She hadnt planned for this, she didn't know what would happen but there were little cares as she became completely lost within Benjamin. Everything about Kara was raw, her mind was open and her body wasn't in great condition but the moment her lips met his there was an instant surge that flowed between them that felt different then just reading emotions, it gave her the energy and strength to focus wholly on him. Her mind melded to his as did her body, small goosebumps forming up and down her arms while the small hairs stood on end along her limbs and neck. It felt as if Blaze electrified her with the intensity of emotions flowing from him to her, she could feel it all as if she were living within both bodies and should Kara have to try and tell where one ended and another began she would be hard pressed for an answer.

Her hands clenched slightly upon his skin as Kara instinctively held harder onto Blaze, as if she feared he'd leave her hold and not return, nails digging in softly to his flesh but not breaking skin. He seemed to mirror he actions as she felt the hair separate and give way while fingers moved between thick locks of hair, effectively holding her to him as she did him. For the moment, loss was forgotten, the past was just that and she didn't care about the world outside of them. Blaze pushed deeper into the kiss and she succumbed to it, yielding her mouth to him in a way that completely showed him how much she needed the comfort of his touch and ability to make life seem right again.

This is why she had left but never truly stayed away, regardless of how many times she messed up or something happened there was one person who would always be her center, her home. They had fought, cried and cursed each other with bitter tongues. They had both been hurt in their lives but coming together felt right, she belonged to Blaze as she always had and nothing could change that. With Nott gone, she was along in her mind but if anyone knew her it was the male who held her in his arms with the love and gentleness that she only experienced from him. Hesitantly, Kara broke their kiss, lips lingering just away from his own as her forehead came to rest against Blaze's. Crimson eyes remained closed and her breath came slightly uneven as it caught up. "I'm sorry." She whispered, for what exactly Kara did not specify but the defeat, sincerity and regret showing plainly in the simple phrase.

Kara leaned her body into Blaze's, arms snaking all the way up and around his neck as she searched for words, something to say to tell him how she felt. Eyes stayed closed as a lump in her throat was swallowed. "I dont want to be alone.." She pleaded, shaking her head ever so slightly against his. "And I dont want to be away from you anymore, I'll stay by your side and I wont leave again if you'll have me." The words came out fast, her lips speaking before her mind had time to process what she was about to say. Biting her lip, she pulled back enough to put a fraction of space between them with her face cast down as the nervousness and embarrassment of her quick words struck. The blush across her face was contrast on pale skin though hair fell forward to hide the majority of it and she silently cursed her impulsive mind.

The entanglement of their bodies seemed to drown out all else that resided on the exterior of the two, buried so deeply within each other. In a fleeting second Benjamin had relinquished thoughts of all but that which he now held within his grasp. A burning desire crept upon him, not of erotic wonders or sensual sensations but of a deep desire that had lain dormant within the confines of his body.
It spoke words through his hands, hidden betwixt the grasp of virile fingers clasping Kara delicately and firmly all at once. Fingers entangled in those crimson locks at the base nape of her neck as a thumb caressed the curvature of the jaw there.
When the loss of her soft lips inevitably came upon his own, Benjamin drew his bottom lip between his teeth, running a tongue gingerly upon it as if he might forget her taste should he wait too long again. The man breathed deeply, allowing himself a moment to devour the sweet scent of the woman within his arms; permitting himself a moment longer to relish in the moment before he had opened his glowing emerald orbs to look upon hers as she placed her forehead against his own.
As an apology sifted through her lips, a frown screwed Benjamins features, confusion in those warm hues. He said nothing, knowing full well that neither of them knew why the apology had come forth; instead, he leaned in and placed a tender kiss upon her cheek.
Blazes hands slipped from their places upon her face and neck, to wrap securely around her torso, accommodating the movement to hold him closer to her.
It had been an age since he had had such a chance to embrace the woman he loved so furiously. Even when he had been with others, he hadn't found a desire so addictive. She was his soul mate, it mattered not of the women he'd lain with. All the while she had been his vice, even as he had promised himself to Eclipse, Kara would be in his thoughts.
Blaze had spent years in a bid to forget the pain of their past, and eventually he had; though it had been with her own help. The irony of it all. Both of them had matured since those days and he would never hold it against her for making actions that seemingly had no warrant at the time. He knew her mind and knew that she had put a hell upon herself to pay for those deeds, he would not add to the fire. Benjamin had vowed, the day he had found her in the storm, nude in the hollow of a tree and pregnant with his first born child, that he would protect her from herself.
-And even now, as she sat before him and outwardly belittled herself, he wouldn't allow her the time enough to process the words that had spilled from her mouth. He sat up from his lazed position with both legs outstretched and took her in both hands. Gripping Kara firmly, he guided her into his lap and wrapped both his arms tightly around her body, linking his own fingers so she could not escape his clutches. "I will have you yesterday, today and for all the tomorrows we lay our eyes upon."

His movements were abrupt and caused Kara to look up upon Benjamin, wide eyes holding a similar luminescence as his, the crimson is striking contrast to the emerald that burned within his own iris's. At first, she thought that her words had offended or pushed to far, that he was moving away from her in rejection and a sickening feeling turned in her stomach at the thought. However, fears were quickly quieted as Blaze simply moved into a sitting position next to her, reaching out and taking her body within his grasp once again and pulling her into his lap. She held back the wince as body protested the sudden movements but she showed little sign of the pain as her frame settled into his, his warmth reaching her body as a whole while large hands locked around her form and preventing her from moving from his grasp, not that she intended to. Memories trickled in and she quickly brushed them to the side, she was safe here in Blaze's arms and she didn't wish to move from her position, she figured the devil himself would have a fight should he try to make her move from her current spot and from the only feeling of contentment shes felt since leaving Blaze the night he laid in the fire. The time in the lab was one filled with long sleepless stretches where she would think about her family, her love and what the future would hold. As days ran into themselves and she went round after round with the Oxen Corp employees, her mind had begin to fade but the thought of those she left behind kept hope within her spirit. Often she worried that Blaze or the others may come to look for her, follow her traces and end up in the same predicament or worse. She remained on constant guard through her time locked in the cell, dreading seeing one of the ones she loved move past her jail.

She cast her gaze upon Benjamin for a moment as the low rumble of his voice and the words spoken gave her shivers that ran along her spine, he was accepting her with everything they had endured in the past, he still choose to allow her into his life once again, to allow her to claim him as her own. Heartbeat picked up pace as tears brimmed on the rims on her glassy eyes, though for the first time today they weren't for self pity or fear of the unknown but for the happiness she felt deep within her soul. She smiled fully before burying her face within the crook of his neck, nuzzling into the soft skin and breathing deep to take in Blaze's scent. Her lips landed on and stayed pressed to skin along his shoulder and eyes closed as Kara relished in the feeling, the moment she didn't want to end. Kara was a solitary person by nature with Blaze and Nott being the closest people in her life through the years, it was hard to get comfortable with people when you could feel their insincerity, lies and malice. Blaze possessed none of that, and now with Nott being gone he was the only person left who understood or knew her wholly, who accepted her without judgement. It broke her heart to know he had been in a similar situation, trapped within the hellish confines of the corp and serving as a test subject. Kara recalled the broken and beaten Blaze that she had com across upon his escape and now she understand the plots and torture that the Oxen corp came up with to eradicate her species from the face of the planet. It made her angry that they had hurt him and angrier still that she wasn't able to help him like he had her. As usual, Benjamin showed strength when she didn't, even though Blaze had his own experience he still gave her the comfort to feel like everything would be ok.

Kara moved to wrap her arms under Benjamin's and around his torso, hands splaying across his broad back as her face turned to look up at the features of his profile. She was enamored with everything about him, even as the fine lines formed and scars emerged on his skin over time she still seen him as handsome as she had when they first met back in the Okami. Her future was never guaranteed but the only future Kara could see or hope for was with Blaze as he owned her heart and soul so completely that no other male could have ever meet the high standards that he had set so early in her life. It was as if something internally knew that no one else would fit, that no one would ever be enough to make her forget the deep devotion that she held for him only. The past would stay where it was, they could move on and be who they had intended all those years ago. The pain of finding him mated to another was gone, along with the sense of uncertainty as she pursued his affections while they both lead their own respective packs. The feeling of being so close and yet separated was non existent as she held her body firmly to his. It mattered not that her skin was bare and exposed to Blaze, she felt little shame as if it wasn't the first or last time he'd seen her in the nude. "Thank you." She said, words muffled as lips spoke against warm skin, the thanks was for as many things as her previous apology was for and more, above all for being there with her in all her less than spectacular moments.

It seemed that night was setting in within the space they now inhabited, where ever that may be, but as minutes ticked by the darkness seemed to crawl in until only the fire could provide a small amount of light for the two occupants. Kara failed to notice the tendrils slithering over the rock face as if they pulled a blanket of blackness to engulf everything. With the peacefulness of the situation and everything coming to the forefront of her consciousness, the rise of power within her was barely restrained as Kara's mind focused on things at the present.

Tenderly, Benjamin ran his thumb along the soft skin of her back while his hands remained interlocked, holding Kara to him. He was absent to the shiver as it ran up her spine having been enthralled in those crimson hues he knew so well. He could feel his own heart burning deep within his body, not only filling his chest, but his entire being as her gaze brimmed with small tears with the likeness of diamonds. He worried not for the fear of sorrow there, but knew it to be a happiness so deep.
The corners of his thin lips pulled into a smile obviating the need of persuasion. It had been almost a lifetime since he had seen such contentment in those eyes and it brought with it the feeling of wholesomeness within his breast. As Kara lay her head upon Benjamins shoulder and he felt her bury her face in the cook of his neck, he let his the warm emerald of eyes hide behind their lids and in turn lay his cheek upon her head. The aroma that wafted from the woman beneath his grasp encased his every whim. The spicy allure of cinnamon greatly accompanied the sweetly afterglow of honey. He noted how it had changed over the years, becoming more profound as time had gone on.
He then realized that this was the first time he had had the chance to hold her so in years. The sudden thought caused his grasp upon her to shift, growing tighter, but not restrictive. He became fearful in a moment of lapse at the thought of letting her go in the chance that she may not return; but not at her own behest. The last time he had let her go she had been captured.
A lump formed in the middle of his throat and he had to try twice to swallow it back. Regret and self degradation slipped to the forefront of his mind. He had failed to protect her, and for that the Oxen Corporation had managed to get their gritty hands upon her; and not only had he failed Kara, he had failed Blade and Aleria too. He swallowed back something more that seemed to wedge in his throat as pain filled his body, unhindered. He hadn't tried to stop it's ascent. Unaware of his own actions, Benjamin had gripped Kara tightly now, face screwed into an unlikeness of his former self. A subtle pain written deeply only for those that knew him the best to find. Unbidden, thoughts of The Oxen Corporation flooded into his mind, like a reel that had no pause button. Benjamin recalled everything they had put him through; all the times they had tortured him to find the where about of his pack. He would never yield; and with every time they cut him, bruised him and tied him - he reminded them of it. It was a strength he could be proud of, so why then did he feel so abandoned by his own self. Such a sudden thing to happen. He did not know that it was the recalling within Karas mind that had brought him back to that place; coupled with an unsteadiness within his own mind. A seed that had slipped into the fabricated soil of his soul.
- but he knew why. Despite all his efforts, his family had all managed to befall their clutches and he knew all too well the torments they went through.
It was the soft words spoken by his mate that caused him to stir from the thoughts that plagued him. His eyes flew open and he had to crane his neck to look down to meet her gaze; a fact that he was thankful for. It meant that she could not read the emotion that he could never hide. It was a blessing and a curse he shared with no one, but everyone all at once. He was an open book.
A smile graced his lips once more, and though the thoughts still stained his mind, they became less in that moment as he kissed the top of her head. Benjamin lingered for a long moment there, lips pressed to Kara head as he fought the urge to say the words he longed to say at the moment. To apologize for letting her down. He knew she would act upon it and he wished not to break this moment for her.
Though those emerald eyes bore into the ground beside them, he did not notice the darkness closing in. The placement of the sun and time of day were not a worry to the male at this time.
Teeth clenched tightly for half a second as he bit the words back with a mighty effort before craning his neck backwards. Eyes locking further more unto Karas, he released one of his hands from around her body to lift her chin eagerly towards his with a tender touch, "I love you." He spoke the words slowly, deliberately, and kissed her lips once more.

It was as if she was set in a trance, eyes closed and even breaths taking in the scent that mixed with hers in such an odd combination that it mixed into something unlike anything she ever smelled, as if a honeycomb was set on fire. His skin was soft and smooth beneath her face and the cold in her body was slowly subsiding as his heat seeped into her core, warming her from within. It was as if her soul full of cold and darkness was mingling with the light and warmth of Blaze's and slowly bringing her back to life from the inside out, helping her Back into the living world. She didn't realize how accurate the feeling was as the confusion of the events that happened in the lab were fuzzy and misconstrued in her mind, the time spent in the underworld seeming more like a dream then anything, it was unrecognizable and she didn't understand the events that happened or that she had died. Kara felt more aware now, a profound contentedness and the stress of the world wasn't relevant. She would have stayed in this position for as long as Blaze would allow, an eternity if possible and as the feeling of arms constricting tightly around her body she allowed a happy sign to escape her lips. The firmness of the hold had brought comfort initially but within moments she started to feel the roll of emotions roll off Benjamin as his mind seemed to reel. First, was fear which soon mingled with regret. Kara's eyes opened and closed again as she tried to block out the feelings, unsure if they belonged to her or Blaze as she was unable to separate them.

Then came the feeling of failure, strong enough for Kara to realize that it wasn't coming from her but instead flowed from deep within Blaze's consciousness. Brows furrowed as she looked up at him, worried about why he felt such a way. If anything, she had failed her family by getting caught, disappearing with little more then a note and leaving them to wonder what happened. The feeling coated her own as she tried to push it out, to change it into something else but her mind struggled against the onslaught of emotion. She had let Blaze down and disappeared on him again, this time with intentions of returning but she worried that he thought other wise. It felt as if she swallowed sand, mouth as dry as the desert while trying to swallow the lump in her throat. Kara knew that this was brought on outside of her own emotions but she seemed unable to block it out. Jaw clenched her eyes glowed a soft glow as tried to filter the emotions into something else, anything, so long as they both didn't feel like hell in the first moment of peace that shes experienced in a long time. Benjamin was not someone to force into speaking what was on his mind, always the strong and emotionally silent, he felt the need to shield everyone from everything including himself. Her words seemed to bring him back to the surface and break away from the emotional darkness that he inflicted upon himself if for only a small reprieve.

She wanted to hold him, assure her mate that whatever was troubling him would be okay. That he shouldn't feel regret or remorse for anything that happened recently, that he had already done so much for their small family and so many others. Blaze kissed her head tenderly and lingered as if his mind was processing, another wave of sorrow seeping from him. Her body was like putty within his grasp as she moved with his movements, her head following the lead of his fingers beneath her chin. Eyes looked into his, searching for the cause of his feelings as if they would open within the depths of his eyes. The ability to know someones feeling, drive or motive without knowing the reasoning why was one of the most frustrating aspects of being empathic, the thoughts that caused that drive or feeling always just out of reach. It was like being able to see through a peephole into someones mind but the most important parts were too far out of sight which could lead to more questions than answers. Hands released from the bare skin of Benjamin's back, unfurling and moving back to the space between them to rest along his chest. She looked down as she rested both hands gently on his skin, one directly above his heart as she felt the steady beating. Lips parted and she looked for the right question, just wanting to know why he felt the way he did but just as she began to speak, words parted his lips that made her stop in her tracks.

She loved him, that much was something that Kara had always known, something that would always be a part of her being. Much of her adult life was driven out of her desire to love and be loved by this one person, Kara pushed to be better, stronger, smarter and a mate that he deserved over the years past, hoping that he would see her past all of the immaturity she once possessed. He was the father of her only child, and raised her into such a strong young woman in her absence. Kara loved him for loving her shortcomings. she loved him for the years that he dealt with her. She loved him for all the times hes pulled her from the darkness that always threatened to drown her. The words hadn't been spoken in what might have been years, the thought always there but the sound forming and coming from her lips almost seemed foreign, though not as foreign as hearing it. It was as if the sound of the three simple words rang and reverberated within her ears, echoing through her mind as if she didn't understand the words and was trying to make sense of them. Seconds passed and Kara was still within the confines of her own mind, she had meant to speak, to tell him the same and so much more but her words were stolen with a kiss.

The moss and stone walls of their shelter looked as if someone had taken black paint and covered them all, sticking to everything outside of a small circle that formed around the pair. Her senses were heightened and the running wild, her control walking a tightrope thin line that blew within the wind. The dark closed out the world around them and Kara merely closed her eyes to the feeling on Blaze's lips on her's again. He stole her ability to speak, occupying her mouth in a way that she was unwilling to break though just as unwilling for him to get the last word. A soft and playful growl that almost resembled a purr rumbled deep within her throat, placing her hands on Benjamin's shoulders to balance herself as her body straightened within his land and she wrapped her legs around his waist.

Her movement was rather graceful for someone in the condition Kara found herself in, coming to straddle Blaze without breaking her lips from his. If he didnt give her a chance to verbally tell him that she loved him in return, then her option was to show him. Hands moved from shoulders up to tangle within short messy locks of hair, kissing him with an intensity that surprised even herself. She licked and nipped at his lips between each kiss, pushing her weight into his form in a way to hold him to her. "I love you, with all of my being I love you. I've only loved you and I'll always love you." She pushed out internally, testing at the bond they shared so long ago as being mates and pack members. Her kisses trailed away from Blaze's lips and along his jaw, her movements slowing as if savoring every taste. Coming to his ear nuzzled it briefly before continuing her trail down to his neck.

Her kisses stopped mid neck and she slowly and deliberately licked the skin there, welcoming his taste before biting softly, canines didn't lengthen and her bite wasn't hard enough to mark him but she bit hard enough to imply it, gauging his reaction. Her marks had long faded with their separations, his scent had left her years ago though every once in a while she would feel a prick where the bite had been, usually rubbing the pain away after inspecting it and hoping by some divine right they would show back up, though she knew it impossible and every time she would check to find nothing.

As Kara placed her hand gently upon his chest, Benjamin felt something there. Something more than a feeling or an emotion; it felt as if a crevice had opened beneath her skin. All the emotions he felt at that moment became intensified, and not just the guilt, shame, and discernment, but the love, the deepest desires and the comfort. They all traversed and solidified, he felt tears brim beneath his eye lids and felt no need to stop them from falling down his cheeks as his lips pressed tenderly to that of his love; though he was not sure why the tears were there at that moment, it could have been any one of the things he felt within his breast. It could have been a combination of some, or all perhaps.
All he knew was that as Kara had lain her hand upon him with such an intimacy for him in her heart, he felt the innocence of his soul press upon him. An innocence which never intended to hide anything. No emotions held a barrier here, not now, not in the creeping darkness of the cave. A cold grew outside of their warmth, only two things keeping it from swallowing them – the fire that burned brightly beside them, and the bodies that tangled with such warmth.
So perhaps it was for all that he felt, for all that he had held back and for all that he had endured and not spoken about that came to the surface now, that had put the tears upon his cheeks. It mattered not to him as they shared a tender moment; but just as quickly as the liquid diamonds had rolled down his skin, did Kara move from her position in his lap.
He might have though she were to leave had she parted her lips from his; and for a brief second he gripped her tightly, refusing to allow the movement in a moment of fear, but quickly banished the thought. His hands unlocked from around her torso, though they remained upon her skin. He felt her manoeuvre, palms pressed eagerly to catch her every advance; and as her legs slipped at either side of his, he instinctively straightened his back. Benjamins bare chest pressed into Karas and he felt her skin all upon him settling a rapidness in the beating of his heart; in the same moment, he pressed his mouth into hers more firmly, and as if she had read his thoughts, she had done the same. Her fingers grabbed into the shortness of his hair, he felt his breath catch for a second, jaw clenching under their embrace to contain the adrenaline that was felt racing beneath the surface; and just like that, in a fleeting moment of time she had made him forget his worries. This woman, so detrimental to his happiness, switched off the deepest and dankest wonders of his mind, like the switch of a light.
His hands slipped from her lower back, the left reaching around her torso from right to left, holding her so firmly to him that there wasn't a single gap between them as their bodies overlapped; the other hand snaked up her spine, gripping at the place where her shoulders and neck met. Fingers curled around the spot there, cupping with a fierceness matched only by her lips. His body moved with her weight, allowing her the momentum she desired in that moment, but disallowing a space between them.
I love you...
As her lips left his, his own did not come together, instead he drew a breath and loosed his hands upon her enough to give the room she craved. Those emerald eyes remaining closed as he felt the softness of her kiss travel along his jaw line.
...with all of my being I love you.
A hot breath left raggedly from his mouth, as he felt Karas breath upon his ear. Goosebumps erupted over the skin of his neck; and his hands slipped, each to lay upon the crest of her hips to give her free movement, surrendering to the will of his love.
I've only loved you...
She continued down the trail of his neck, and as she did so, he fed into his own desires. Craning his neck, he lay soft lips upon the skin at the nape of her neck. The flavour of her scent drove into him, and he became consumed by it.
...and I'll always love you.
A wet tongue laid a trail upon his skin, and it was laced with a poison only he she had the antidote for. Strong hands gripped absent of though to the place they lay upon her hips, pulling her body into his own. He felt the muscles that controlled the contraction and retractions of his canines reverberate at a memory of long ago; and unbidden they lengthened to slip past the lips that confined them. They parted to make way and he ran the threat along her skin. The memory played within his mind and, just as she had, it consumed him. It was the way of her pack, Karas heritage to mark their mates – he knew it well.
A hot tongue ran it's tip along her cool skin, savouring the flavour of it in all it's fullness. She was his, and he was hers. Like a drug, he was addicted to her and selfishly wanted more than he was getting at that moment. Absent of thought or provocation, his hands moved with a delicate vigorousness over the contours of her form, stopping earnestly below the rib cage, only to slide back down from where they had come with a hunger laced deeply in those finger tips to grasp tightly at her hips.
Benjamin lay a gentle kiss upon the nape of her neck, before wrapping his lips around the space there and pressing his teeth into the hot flesh, relishing the sweet taste of love as it pooled onto his tongue.

His grip tightened on her hips, fingers digging in firmly as her body was held in place in a way that showed the possessiveness and need behind the holder. She knew that should she want to move away, he'd likely protest and hold her into place and the thought excited her more then she would have admitted. Kara longed for him to hold her, to possess her fully and to claim her as his own, she wanted to show him how much she needed him and feel the same need coming back. How long had it been since he held her in such a way? Kara was pressed to remember back to their past, a handful of memories coming back but none as clear or intense as what she felt now. Perhaps it was the time she's had to grow and realize herself before she was ready to bond and mate with Blaze, maybe as a youth she rushed it and the fates weren't ready and thus the time allowed her to understand the feelings that she felt. It wasnt that she ever loved Benjamin any less then she did today but maybe she didn't understand the full extent of her feelings or the link that seemed to never break between her and Blaze. Regardless of how far they were from one another there was always a spark at the back of her mind that linked her to Blaze, from their connection that started when she was young. It was more prominent when they were together, the years straining it until it was a reminder of his existence, something she could look upon but like a ribbon that was shredded to the last thread, clinging to life as two separate halves pulled in opposite directions.

This was something new, different and exciting. Her soul that had just felt the pain and sorrow of being ripped in half as Nott's presence left a big hole in her and Blaze was quickly moving in to fill the void that left her feeling alone and desolate. He warmed the cold corners of her consciousness and brought life back to her. Hands roamed over bruised skin but her body had since stopped recognizing the pain and only registered feelings if bliss and contentment. The heat from his hands left trails that she could mentally follow by the feeling upon her skin as they moved from her hips to just under her ribs and back down to grip the skin tightly. He didnt flinch away or move from within her grasp as Kara delicately tested her fangs on smooth skin covering Blaze's neck, savoring the taste of his skin beneath her lips. A smile formed at the corner of those lips as she was lost in her mate, barely noticing his movement until she felt his lips on the nape of her neck and a shiver caused her body to shake for just a second as eyes closed.

Her teeth hadnt broken the skin on his neck, knowing the significance and unwilling to push Blaze into something he wasnt willing to jump into. She teased his skin though the urge to mark what she considered hers was something that was hard to ignore, the deep rooted custom running within her blood screamed to bite with force to make the mark though she refrained. In her pack, they were simple creatures never finding the appeal in the extravigance that the humans showed as they showered their lovers with jewels and large scale gifts, a simple mark on ones most vulnerable spot and allowing another's teeth close enough to end life and trust them so completely not to, to place that mark was enough to show the devotion between mates. It was the meaning behind the act and the show of it after, A visible mark that you were claimed and something unable to take off or be remove as long as you remained mates, that made it important to her lineage. In their past, she had shared this with Blaze and he accepted her packs tradition without second thought. She wasnt sure when she first bit playfully on his skin if he would remember but his actions showed that it wasn't something that was meaningless or forgotten in their past and her heart swelled in the fact that he would recall something that was of such significance to her.

Unlike the times when the phantom mark would ache or sting with the memory of what was once there and no longer was, she felt the pressure of canines that pushed through delicate skin as teeth buried within the nape of her neck. Blood pooled to the surface instantly and what was intense pain for just a second was now pleasure as her body adjusted to the sensation. Heat rose to the surface of skin as the area became red and blood coagulated at the site in her bodys natural defense. He had marked her, giving Kara the freedom to drop her inhibitions and reservations before the feeling of her canines lengething pulled at the muscles at her jaw. The dull ache only lasted a second before she closed her eyes to bit into the spot on his neck that she had just playfully bitten. Skin gave way to the points of her canines with little resistance and she waited a second before retracting her teeth, pulling back to examine the bite before sticking her tongue out and leisurely licking away the blood that pooled and contrasted against his skin.

Marking your mate was both a physical and mental experience that connected two as mates, and as Kara leaned back a hand moved over the bite on her neck. Fingers traced over her skin as she felt the mark beneath the tips of her digits and a shiver ran over her entire form, glassy crimson eyes losing focus as the world tuned out for just a moment. It was as if her mind aligned with his and their souls intertwined with one another, the strained thread of their bond stitching back up securely as everything seemed to fall into place for Kara. The feeling was almost disorienting as the room spun for a second before coming to a standstill as Kara sat back far enough to look onto the emerald hues she loved so completely. She struggled to find the right thing to say but everything didnt seem enough, a smile formed on her lips and she nuzzled her nose to his lightly. "You're mine now, I'm not letting you go ever again." She said, the words coming out hoarse, light and airy in a way that showed she was playing but what she said held so many truths.

The taste of her life force filled his mouth, sweeter and more divine than anything he could have remembered or conjured in the confines of his mind. It sparked a memory of a time long ago, the first time the two had been in this same position. The memory was but a grey dream, like he had awoken from a deep sleep and could recall only blanks on a concious level while knowing on a sub-concious level, there had been so much more.
As Karas sharp, dagger teeth ran smoothly upon his skin, his entire body erupted in good bumps and the exhilaration filled him to the core of his being. He wanted to tell her how much he wished for her inflict the pain unto him and became riddled with impatience and a lust for it. He wanted her to pass to him the elation within of becoming only his, but she had currently occupied his mouth in ways he found mesmerising.
Those worked hands gripped tightly at the skin of her hips, knees bending slightly to angle himself higher and into her. The heart that beat beneath his chest was on rapid time, it burned deeply, a desire to be with her; to take her and for her to take him. A matching of two souls, destined for one another and beating the odds. A celebration of life and love.
Just as the thought had come unbidden to his wandering mind, he felt the sickening slice of sheer freedom burst from within his will while his want became reality and teeth broke the skin like a hot knife through butter.
As if he had been plugged into a television set, the memory of their first marking consumed him and he became transfixed by it, traversing unto that moment in time when they had first separated the calling of two, and became one.
He felt a warmth spreading like wild fire from his belly, driving upwards and then down once more; though as it descended it was not through himself, but that of the woman in his arms. Emerald eyes had burst open to reveal a golden ring encircling to see nothing and everything all at once. Intricate golden lines had formed around the concave of his eye, similar to those which seep when his metaphysical and magical mind is being pursued; but they carried a more defined curvature to them. A beautiful display to represent the chaos and beauty that mirrored within.
A raging passion set upon Benjamin, and he wanted nothing more than to love this woman more intensely than he ever had. He wanted to give her everything she had ever dreamed and everything he knew she deserved. Like a possessive beast he felt an animalistic urge to drive away everyone who sought her affections; and yet, he wanted to show the world that she was his and just how feircley he felt for her. All at once he wanted everyone to have her, but only keep her for himself. He was selfish and selfless for her and everything she held dear within his heart.
When Kara had leaned backwards, Benjamin realised then that he had forgotten to breath in the moment of madness. His lungs forcibly exhaled, loudly and deeply before a wet tongue ran along lips stained with her blood.
It took a long time to see that she was looking at him then. His gaze moved to meet those crimson hues with an intense stare; which he indulged in for a while. Inside, his body burned with desire, love, lust and warmth only for Kara; but he couldn't decide which he wanted more at that moment.
He remembered deeply, the feeling of such innocence coursing through his veins when he had first lain with her; that night they had first laid the mark. How the desire had purged him, but his anxieties and insecurities had kept him under lock and key from taking charge of the situation he so desperately wanted to take.
You're mine now, I'm not letting you go ever again.
His head started to shake only enough to notice if one were looking directly at him “Such a power one would need to rip these bonds you have cast upon me. Not even the gods themselves could tear you from my arms.” He whispered. Though the words held no malice, they were bridled with a certainty never spoken from his lips; a sureness matched only within his eyes shadowed by a narrowed brow.
Tender hands ascended her spine as they had done not long ago, though, this time he leaned in purposefully, his chest laying upon her own. Blaze held her, using his entire arms to support her back as he pushed her backwards just enough to give himself total control at a seconds notice and his kiss wandered dangerously close to Karas. A warm breath slid from lips that had become ajar and though they didn't lay upon hers, the gaze in which he held upon her own sent a challenge for her to claim what was rightfully hers.

Kara couldn't help the smile that plastered to her lips, his words reverberating in her mind as she felt the love, sincerity and a certainty that couldn't be ignored. Kara couldn't imagine the force that would have to come in order to best her mate in anything, to take her away from him or lead her away. It wasn't within her realm of imagination as she was sure herself that should anyone try to take him from her she would cast them into the darkest realm of hell in the most violent way possible. The possessiveness, need and adoration she felt for Benjamin almost overwhelming as the thought of someone removing him from her life once again and it made her feel anger that boiled deep within her gut over a hypothetical situation. Emotions ran high as their bond settled and aligned with one another, slowly connecting like a puzzle as Kara began to feel the intensity of his feelings for her and hers for him. She had stopped trying to see the split between his emotions and hers, beginning to lean upon the comfort of his soul bonding with her own and find solace in knowing she was safe and with her one and only.

Blaze's hands had wandered her back for the entirety of the time since shes regained consciousness, running warm hands over her skin and gripping her tightly as her skin tingled with every touch, squeeze or pull and she anticipated the large calloused hands running against sensitive skin. Heart raced within her breast and breath had never fully caught up as it came uneven past lips that seemed stained red. Once his hand stopped as her back, she felt the shift in his movement, instinctively reaching her arms up around his neck in an attempt to keep her from falling while eyes went wide as she was caught off guard for a second, though she knew in the back of her mind that Blaze wouldn't allow her to hit the ground beneath him while he supported her. Strong hands held her weight like she weighed as little as a feather as her body leaned back further, crimson eyes never wavering from his own as she absently licked the taste of Blaze off her bottom lip and relished in the dark spiciness of his masculinity mixed with the coppery taste of blood and craving to taste him again causing her to bite her own lip absentmindedly as eyes flickered from his eyes, to lips and back.

The challenge that spit fire in Benjamin's eyes bore into the depths of Kara's as his face lingered just over hers with lips just within her reach, waiting for her to make a move. The smile that played on the corners of her lips began to match the wickedly playful look in her eyes while the idea of it made her long to kiss him with every once she had in her. "So it begins." Kara thought, excitement making her stomach feel as if she swallowed a bunch of live butterflies and they fluttered rapidly in her stomach. This was the beginning and the end of so many things for Kara, the end of chasing, longing and wishing for Blaze and the beginning of their future together where she could make amends and spend her life showing him her love and devotion, whatever lay ahead may hold she knew she wouldn't have to face it alone and neither would Blaze as she would always be at his side for him to rely on. She would challenge Blaze and she knew he would challenge her. It would make them both better, as a team they would be stronger and her life would be complete.

She knew what he wanted but Kara delayed for the self gratification of his anticipation, leaning up enough to quickly flick his bottom lip with the tip of her tongue. She could taste the coppery taste of her own blood still lingering on his lips, mixing with the taste of his still on her tongue. Freeing one hand from around Blaze's neck she slowly drug her pointer finger nail over his shoulder and onto his neck, still moving up until her finger grazed his lips. She wished to press her lips to his, to claim his mouth with her own just as she just claimed him as her mate and she grew impatient with her own antics. Her free hand rested on the side of Benjamin's face as Kara gave in to what they both wanted, kissing him softly at first, lips barely lingering on his for a second as if testing the waters before her eyes closed and she pressed her lips to his again though this time with more urgency and desperate need for him.

Legs tightened around Blaze's torso and her hands began to roam freely along the contours of his body, mentally memorizing every inch as if time had made her forget, like she needed to be reminded of how he felt beneath her hands so she would never forget for the rest of her life. Soft pants came between small breaks between their lips before she would capture his mouth again, nails leaving faint trails as she ran them along his torso and shoulders. Kara nibbled his lip softly, teased his tongue with her own and kissed him fiercely with every ounce of passion she possessed. Though he held her in place within his arms as his body hovered over her own, she used what leverage she could find to press her body harder against him as her mind became lost and hazy within her desire and lust that she had for Blaze. It was as if a beast awakened within her core that craved every fiber of her mate, reaching out to join them in every way possible with a neediness that she felt was unable to be contained. This was her mate, she was his mate and now Kara was where she belonged mind, body and soul.

Emerald eyes, infused with the golden hues hidden in the metaphysical powers of lust, love, desire, and passion swirled with a depth and ferocity of chartreuse. A collection of yellows and greens upon being cast into the crimson profundity that matched in the gaze that came back at him. Words were not uttered but were spoken with intensity upon the remnants of a smile that tugged at the lips of the woman in his grasp. Unbidden of thought, it mirrored in his own, though his gaze never faltered; canines still elongated and prominent in the heated moment as her finger traced dangerously from the nape of his neck to the line of his jaw as she toyed with the intigation of his challenge. As it rest upon his lips and a tongue playfully licked at it before it was cast to the side of his face and his lips were met with the sweetest of all deliciousness.
Karas lips upon his excited his body, and though he breathed evenly at the tenderness of it, as he legs tightened around his torso, rugged hands slipped to hold the anterior of her hips and pull her fiercely towards him. An intensity matched within the inhalation into his lungs.
Nails dug softly into his hot skin and he moved with each touch, arching his back to force his body into hers in perfect syncronicity with Karas movements.
As their bodies connected externally, Benajmin could feel the fire that blazed intensely in his breast. It reached outwards and burned hotly and with a painful pleasure in the mark that signified his spiritual marital significance to the love he bore her; intensified by the connection of the love she bore him.
His entire being was filled with a nostalgia like need; remembering all the times they had been together, and all the moments he had cast wishes for her to be by his side; all the dreams that had plagued his mind for all the years they had been apart. All at once it came rushing upon him with the likeness of the waterfall that rushed eagerly within the proximity of their new den now. It flooded the gates which served as the barrier for his desires and he met her intensity with his own ferocity.
A reprieve from her lips caused such a deep desire within him that he found himself wanton of more, as if simply having her in front of him now was not enough for his selfish desires. A wet tongue licked playfully at her lips before he leaned in slowly, taking her bottom lip between his bite and drawing blood. Emerald eyes remained closed as he covered her mouth and tasting her eagerly with his with an intensity that drew him forward, gaining complete control of her body. Strong hands held her securely to his body, as she still straddled him. Allowing a hand to drop to the soft floor beneath to gain purchase and throw his body up and into a kneeling position with such skill that her legs remained around him.
How ever, the movement had caused their kiss to break, and Benjamins lips quickly took purchase at the underside of her jaw, kissing gently at first, before running his tongue with the likeness of a feather over the skin there. It made way down her neck, nipping playfully at the skin to cause small red marks in his wake.
Leaning forward, while holding her safely and securely to him, he deliberately lowered her body until Karas back lay against the fluffy moss covered ground. He lay his lips tenderly across her body as the movement progressed. Down and over her chest, between the space before trailing slowly back up. A hand steadied his form as he he hovered over her, while the other explored her body lain bare. It began at the countours of her hips, cupped so that every inch of palm and finger covered her skin, ascending her torso at the side of her stomach nd rib cage, where he allowed his thumb to graze at the side of her breast. He kissed at her neck fiercly whie his hand continued it's ascent up and over her arm. He felt the roundness of her shoulder, cupping her elbow to guide her arm up and over her head where he entangled his fingers in her own and pinned her hand to the ground there.
Laying his body upon her own, he did the same with her other arm, attempting to distract her with his lips upon hers. Nipping and licking playfully at her kiss, while emerald eyes bore into hers in integrated moments between breaths, teasing kisses and nibbles.

His body was hard against her soft form in contrast, moving in synchronization with her's as her weight pressing against Blaze was matched in return with the same force. The sun could have fallen from the sky and Kara would have missed the event as all her senses were focused on one and everything outside was non existent. It was as if her skin craved his touch, feeling the need to make contact with every inch of his body with her own and absorb the warmth. The sound of his deep breathing along with steady and strong heartbeat washed out any other noise that would arise around them. His scent was all consuming as it gave her a dizzying high with every inhale and then his taste, the richness in which each kiss held was enough to make her craving more.

His lips as left hers and with eyes still closed, she inclined her head forward to reclaim them only to be met with the playful lick of his tongue which she tried to nip at playfully but was much to slow in the euphoric state of mind. Her reward was a sharp nip to her bottom lip, causing a wave of excitement to ripple through her body starting at the source and radiating all the way to her toes which curled reflexively. A sharp inhale escaped passed her lips initially followed by a soft moan that was almost inaudible while darting her tongue out to lick at the blood that collected at the bite and run over the punctures. His mouth had recaptured hers and she eagerly yielded uninhibited to his desires. Her control of their entanglement was slipping while her body lay further back within Blaze's grasp, leaving her completely in the arms and control of Blaze and at the whim of his movements.

She came to settle within his hold and the only notion that she registered the shift from sitting to kneeling was the tightening of her legs around his torso in automatic response. His lips broke away and didn't return, causing Kara's eyes to open with a questioning look towards her mate. His lips instead moved to her neck, her body jerking slightly as her shoulder moved up to protect the overly sensitive skin before realizing her reflex and relaxing again in his embrace. Head tilted to the side as Kara made room for Benjamin to continue his actions, goosebumps trailing down her neck and over her shoulders, chest and arms. She whimpered blissfully under the assault of his mouth as skin set ablaze in contrast to her normal porcelain complexion where his mouth and teeth had caressed her skin. The need to be possessed by her mate made it all the more arousing as her skin still felt each touch of his mouth even after he had moved on to the next spot. Her hands wandered over everything within their reach, squeezing the tense muscles in his arms and shoulders as they held her weight. Running up through his short hair to grasp at the silliness, tracing his neck and back with feather like touches.

Kara hadn't realized that Blaze had moved to lay her down beneath him until the softness and cushion of live moss lay beneath her skin and reminded her that there was such thing as coldness, the thought of Benjamin's burning touch the only temperature she could recall at the moment. Heavy lids closed involuntarily as the trail followed down her neck and over her chest, breaths becoming shallow and erratic. She wanted him, needed him and nothing else would ever be enough to quench her desire for him aside from having her mate completely. Between every kiss she wanted his lips back against her body, but was conflicted as she yearned to taste his mouth upon her own but didn't want to give up the feeling of his kisses as they covered the remainder of her flesh.

His free hand trailed up her side and lingered for just a second on the side of her breast, skin aching for his touch though he bypassed it and continued upwards to move her arm over her head, limb moving like putty in his hands. Didgets tightened around the hand that held it over her head in response to the attention he paid to her body. It wasnt until Blaze had reached for her free arm to move it in joint with the one already held down above her body did she understand the motive behind his actions. The expanse of her mind was clouded and her thoughts came jumbled as his mouth and touch distracted her. The weight of his form covering her body and pressing her down into the soft earth beneath her while eyes bore down into her's with such intimacy that Kara couldn't look away even if she had wanted to as she found herself lost and captured by the depths while the sensation of natural earth rubbing against sensitive flesh on her back matched with the firmness of Benjamins body on her opposite. As her mate held her beneath him he effectively stilled her movements and put her into position where she would be at his will, arms restrained, torso pinned and little in leverage of her legs.. There had been many people over the years who tried and failed to earn Kara's respect as someone more dominant then she and only one ever commanded that position or respect from her to allow her blind loyalty and obedience. The silent itch to challenge him shortly died down as she reserved herself to submitting to her mate, the only one shes ever willingly followed. Kara had been on her own on and off for so long, always holding her sense of entitlement even when falling into pack ranks but the prospect that she could allow someone to take charge, be in control and bend the situation to their will both enthralled and scared her. There was so much love shared between the looks of the two, she trusted him completely and he would take care of her reguatdless of the situation, intimate or otherwise. There was so many emotions running behind the crimson gaze that stared into the sea of green of Benjamin's eyes, love, desire, lust along with wondering what he would do now that he had control of her so completely. She held her chin up as she silently goaded him on, challenging him to show her what he could do, what they were capable of. She would play at his game, follow his rules as she had little option however the thought of it sent another wave of shivers down her spine.
