Every member on Hiraeth earns points for numerous things on the site. They will be listed below. Points can be used to purcahse certain things In and Out of character; but don't worry! They're free and easily earnt.
Hiraeth does not inhibit the creator to create, so, points are not used for things that may inhibit your imagination. They are simply there for making the game more fun and more of a challenge.



You may earn points several different ways:

• 1 Point per post madde in the In Character Boards and the Territorial Boards. This excludes the Plotting Board.


• 3 Points per thread made in the In Character Boards and the Territorial Boards. This excludes the Plotting Board.


• 20 Points for recruiting a new member. If you bring a new member to the site you will be rewarded handsomly; how ever, they must make an honerable mention of you in their first Character Profile and you must notify a Member of Staff. If both of these things have been done, you will be awarded your points right away.


• You will earn points if you purchase an Establishment. See the Guide for purchasing Real Estate to learn more on this.


• In The Casino. You cannot earn points in the Casino, rather you can win Points. The rules on playing the Game in The Casino can be found within the Boards.

So, we will not ask you to "purchase" things that have anything to do with the appearance or structure of your character. So, things, such as powers, appearance features, weapons and magic etc can be played out in character themselves. So long as you can write it into creation, so it shall be. It will be things that require a member of staff to intervine that you will "purcahse", such as:

• Real Estate : Territories -
  So, Hiraeth may have some boards set up already for you to write in and creat stories, but you are definitely not limited to those boards. If your character requires something specific that we do not have, save your points and purcahse the "space of land" and build the boards with our help. More on this will be explained below.
• Real Estate : Shops/ Establishments -
  We have several clubs, bars and shops on Hiraeth. In the past we have had a few characters who have inquired about running their own establishment and we love the idea! So, save your pennies and buy that club or bar that you so desperately want. There is also more on this below.

There are also some boards where you can use your points for games In Character. Such as:

• The Casino -
  The casino is built purely for fun. Here, you can offer points to try and win extra points.You can do this for fun or if you are trying to purchase a piece of Real Estate but do not have enough points to use.

You will find the rules on how to play the Casino Game in The Casino.

Feel free to purcahse some land, or an Establishment; or perhaps purcahse some land and put an Establishment upon it, for your character. Some ideas might include:

• Perhaps your character is good at fighting, you could set up a system where people can hire your character to fight for them.


• You may have a witch that is very good with magic, perhaps you'd like to make a shop for him/ her to sell their goods/ magic. Or offer some sort of service.


• The possibilities are endless. If you can think it, so it shall be.

As a member, you may create an Out Of Character Shop for any amount of reasons.

• Perhaps you are good at coding and would like to create tables for members using our points as payment.


• If you are good at digital art, a lot of Role Players love to have art of their characters. So, perhaps you'd set up a small shop to sell your art work for points.


• There may be any number of reasons to open an Out Of Character Shop. Hiraeth does not give bounds, so long as it is hurting no one, if you can think it, so it shall be.
