Hiraeth will not ask you to "purchase" things that have anything to do with the appearance or structure of your character. So, things, such as powers, appearance features, weapons and magic etc can be played out in character themselves. So long as you can write it into creation, so it shall be. It will be things that require a member of staff to intervine that you will "purcahse", such as Real Estate.

So, Hiraeth may have some boards set up already for you to write in and creat stories, but you are definitely not limited to those boards. If your character requires something specific that we do not have, save your points and purcahse the "space of land" and build the boards with our help. More on this will be explained below.

We also have several Establishments for use on Hiraeth We have several clubs, bars and shops on Hiraeth. In the past we have had a few characters who have inquired about running their own establishment and we love the idea! So, save your pennies and buy that club or bar that you so desperately want. There is also more on this below.



There are many reasons for purchasing Territory or an Establishment. Some include:

• It is a requirement for some Specie Groups. Such as Rogue, Warden, Pack, coven etc.


• You may wish to further your character development and purchase an Establishment to turn into a shop In Character. May that be a club, a pub or a Shop to sell magic or items.


• There may be a reason that is not listed here that you can think of! Let us know. We'd love to help you.

There are already some Territorial Boards on Hiraeth, but there is always room to expand. Especially if it contributes to your story. How ever, if we go creating the boards that everyone wishes, we would be flooded with work for the Administration Team. So, in order for their to be fairness and happiness for all, we have put in place a system so that characters must work for their successions.

If you are looking to create a Group of Individuals on Hiraeth, such as a Pack of Wolves, a Coven of Vampires, a covern of Witches you will need Territories.

(If you are looking to create a Grouping, please see the requirements according tto their Species.)

How ever, it will not always be necessary to purcahse Territories as there are already some Territories available for grabs on Hiraeth; and as our member base grows and the Territories fill and are claimed, we will create more free Territories. Although this is true, there may not always be enough Territories to make new claims, so some must be made. If you wish to make new Territories, the following steps must be taken:

• Choose an Unexplored Area to post in. You must make and finish three threads. Tag the Admin account in each thread that is finished like so : @Admin.


• Once this has been done, you can create fill out the "Real Estate - Territory" form and send it to the Admin account. This can be found in the "Forms" section of the Guide Book.


• You will need to pay a fee of 200 Points to the Real Estate. This will be taken from you when you have filled the requirements, your form has been accepted and you have been notified and, you have confirmed your interest to the Admin Team.

Once you have completed these requirements, you will be contacted by a Member of Staff and together you will work on your Territory.



There are already some Establishments on Hiraeth that you may purchase -

• The Club, The City, East.


• The Tavern, The City, East.


• Zianthus Alley, Arvada, South.

How ever, you may wish to place an Establishment where there is none, in this case you will have to follow these instructions:

• If the Territory Exists but your Establishment does not, then you must create a new Thread which is named of your dream Establishment. You must creat three seperate Threads and complete all three threads. This is to ensure that the Establishment will work and generate a flux of interetes from other Characters.


• If the Territory does not yet exist, then you must follow the steps to "Purchasing a Territory" and then follow the steps to "Purchasing an Establishment".


• If the Establishment already exists and is not already owned by a playing character then you must create and finish three seperate threads. This ensures that your character can generate an influx of other characters enough to keep your Establishment afloat. Tag the Admin in each finished thread, like so: @Admin.


• Once you have completed three threads, you must fill out the form "Real Estate - Establishment" and send it to the Admin account. This can be found in the "Forms" section of The Guide Book


• You will need to pay a fee of 100 Points to the Real Estate. This will be taken from you when you have filled the requirements, your form has been accepted and you have been notified and, you have confirmed your interest to the Admin Team.

Once you have completed these requirements, you will be contacted by a Member of Staff and together you will work on your Establishment.



If you have saved enough pennies to buy yourself a swanky bar down town, then congratulations. Well done! Now, here are some Guide Lines for you as a proud new Establishment Owner-

• For every thread that is created in your establishment – and the combined posts equal more than ten posts in said thread – You will receive an extra ten points. (you are required to contact a Member of Staff when the thread is finished to recieve your points.)


• For every post a character makes in your establishment, two points will be awarded to you. (you are required to contact a Member of Staff when the thread is finished to recieve your points.)


• If you are the establishment owner, have employed characters working for you and feel that your employee is doing a good job, you may give a bonus; how ever, this will come from your own pocket. Remember – Treat your staff well, they are the ones who bring in thea customers!


• You will pay a (OOC) monthly maintenance fee of 10 points, at the end of each month. Failure to pay will result in the loss of your establishment. However, if there is good reason for you to not be capable of paying your maintenance fee, you can contest it to the Administration.


• Once you have bought the Establishment from the Real Estate, the property is yours to do as you wish. You can – Change the Name; Change the description; Change the atmosphere; Employ Characters; Fire Characters; Throw parties; Redecorate; Make a menu; You know the get go, Hiraeth doesn't discriminate, you worked hard, you paid for it, have fun with it; the only thing you cannot change is the establishments original use. (Bar, Club, Shop.) This is so we do not have three establishments of the same use. A bar is cruisy and chilled – but this doesn't mean you can't throw a shindig! A club is a place that people come to dance and do unthinkable things – Make an event of it! And a shop, well that's self explanatory.


• People who own properties often upgrade, and so can you! For an amount of points paid to the bank, you can add an extension to your establishment. Be that a secret room, or another story/ floor entirely, it's your choice.(If you wish to do this, contact a Member of Staff and they will work with you to barter a price, and then create the addition.)
