Hiraeth holds no barriers when it comes to character creation. There are plenty of Role Play websites out there that make you pay for an enhanced design; ie: Powers, Different coloured eyes/ fur/ hair, Special stats, etc. Or that straight up ban certain things altogether, but we have only two rules for Character Design are: If you have the skills to play it, it's legit; and if you don't, Learn!

More often than not A Role Player is writing to escape the reality of their world. Sometimes they write for the company, or to live a life they can only dream about. Who are we to decide who you want to be? You're born to be you, no one can take that away from you.

However, we do offer some guide lines to your profile for the ease of others playing alongside you. You are not required to use them of course, but we do implore you to use as much detail in your character design as possible. It makes for a much better environment for all; and you are here to create after all!


You may look at some of these and think - *Scoffs* “Well, duh.”, but there may be some that you have to do a double take. Just hover your mouse on the ones you don’t understand to find a meaning.

So, there you have it. Some ideas to spruce up your profile! Put as much effort into it as you want, but remember that the way you write your character profile can often shape the experience you have as a Role Player.
